Tocci’s Blueprint for Real-Time Diversity Tracking
Industry
General Contractor
Challenge
Chasing subcontractor timesheets and reconciling diversity-reporting spreadsheets across multiple projects with differing goal structures was time-consuming, error-prone, and hard to audit.
Results
A live, centralized view of diversity-goal performance across projects alongside submission status tracking, and editable timesheets.
Key Product
Diversity tracking
“Constrafor has transformed our diversity tracking from a time-consuming, spreadsheet-heavy process into a centralized, real-time view across our projects. Having subcontractors enter and update their own hours saves our team valuable time, improves reporting accuracy, and gives us greater confidence that our compliance data is complete and audit-ready.”

About Tocci Construction
TOCCI Construct is a Boston-area general contractor managing multiple active construction projects with workforce diversity and labor-reporting requirements. On projects funded by public agencies or governed by local hiring ordinances, TOCCI accurately tracks and reports subcontractor hours across required demographic and workforce categories.
Whether or not a project has mandated diversity goals or labor-reporting requirements, TOCCI is committed to fostering an inclusive workforce. For projects without formal reporting requirements, TOCCI has established its own workforce diversity benchmarks to consistently measure participation and promote accountability across its entire project portfolio.
The Challenge
Managing subcontractor compliance across projects with different diversity goals and reporting requirements had become time-consuming and difficult to audit. Project teams relied heavily on spreadsheets, manual timesheet tracking, and repeated follow-ups to collect missing information and correct reporting errors.
Rigid systems created additional challenges when subcontractors joined a project midstream, completed their scopes, or needed information corrected. Static reporting formats also made it difficult to accommodate project-specific requirements, sometimes cluttering dashboards with metrics that did not apply.
These disconnected processes increased administrative work, created opportunities for error, and made preparing data for external, city-mandated reporting systems more complicated.
The Solution
Constrafor provides TOCCI with a centralized, live view of workforce diversity performance across its active projects. Subcontractors can submit and edit their hours directly within the platform, giving TOCCI’s team greater visibility into submission status, missing information, and progress toward each project’s goals.
This project-by-project view reflects both TOCCI’s commitment to diverse hiring and the realities of an industry in which certain workforce goals, particularly participation by women in the trades, remain challenging to achieve.
By replacing spreadsheet-heavy workflows with a centralized platform, Constrafor makes it easier to monitor compliance, identify issues, and maintain more accurate and auditable records.
The Results
Constrafor has reduced the time TOCCI spends chasing subcontractor timesheets, re-entering corrections, reconciling spreadsheets, and manually closing completed scopes.
The benefits extend beyond final reporting. Removing these day-to-day friction points improves accuracy, strengthens audit readiness, and saves time throughout the entire project lifecycle.
As TOCCI takes on new work, including City of Boston projects that may require separate, city-mandated reporting platforms, Constrafor remains the team’s preferred diversity-tracking solution whenever TOCCI has the flexibility to select its own compliance infrastructure.
